AFL Gather Round 2025 kicks off again, celebrating all things Footy in South Australia over one action-packed weekend—18 teams, 9 games, and one massive Festival of Footy. For the first time, AFL Gather Round will venture to the Barossa, while The Parade will host the return of the Norwood Food & Wine Festival. Come for the footy and stay for a holiday – take a day trip to iconic SA wine regions, Bounce around the Barossa on our hop-on hop-off busses, or wind down lanes of bars flooded with restaurants and late-night snacks and unwind this holiday. Transport for Gather Round
Footy goers can catch FREE public transport to all matches during Gather Round with their valid game day ticket. FREE travel will be available from 12:00 pm Thursday and Friday, and all-day Saturday and Sunday.

Dedicated bus shuttles will operate to Norwood Oval and Barossa Park matches from a stop opposite or adjacent the Macca’s Footy Festival on King William Road. See shuttle bus maps below:
Travel to the Barossa
Ways to get to Barossa Park:
- City-Lyndoch Shuttle Bus
- Train
- Drive
Additional Gawler train services will operate before and after matches. These services will connect with a special shuttle service transporting footy fans from Gawler Railway Station to Barossa Park and back.
Within the Barossa, there will be a free bus shuttle service, Bounce Around the Barossa for fans wanting to experience the best of the Barossa region. Free to use for any Gather Round ticket holder and offering a hop on, hop off service across Barossa Region including towns such as Nuriootpa, Tanunda, Angaston and Gawler.
Travel to Norwood
Ways to get to Norwood Oval:
- City-Norwood Shuttle Bus
- Drive (10 minutes from the Adelaide city)
Fans can catch free public transport to and from Norwood Oval. The City-Norwood Bus Shuttle will drop patrons at Norwood Oval and will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the Macca’s Footy Festival on King William Road.
Fans can also catch regular Adelaide Metro bus services to the city to connect with the City-Norwood bus shuttle to Norwood Oval.
Those choosing to drive to Norwood Oval should be aware of road closures and detours around the stadium due to the match and the Norwood Food and Wine Festival on Sunday, so parking will be limited.

For matches at Adelaide Oval, Footy Express services (AO and AOX) will operate to and from the stadium.
